Two Missing Mount Agung Climbers Found Safe
Bali Basarnas personnel managed to find two climbers of Mount Agung, Karangasem Regency, who were lost safely.
Head of SAR Operations and Bali Basarnas Preparedness I Wayan Suwena in a statement in Denpasar, Friday, said the first climber on behalf of Putu Diki Adi Warta (27) was found at around 09.50 WITA at an altitude of 1,300 MDPL.
"At that time, Diki Adi was trying to find a way down and happened to meet someone who wanted to pray," he said, Friday, December 27.
Diki Adi, who came from Badung, got lost with his colleague Ridho Adi Yudistira (22) from Tabanan, where initially they had been climbing with three other friends since Tuesday (24/12) at 01:00 WITA.
After reaching the peak, at Simpang Jodoh at an altitude of about 2,800 Mdpl they separated, three people went down first and the two of them had not returned until Basarnas Bali received a loss report on Wednesday (25/12) at 19:00 WITA.
Suwena said eight personnel then departed that night but because conditions did not support the search, it was stopped and continued on Thursday (26/12).
The joint SAR team divided into 2 SRUs has not been able to find victims all day, where SRU 1 rose from Edelweis and SRU 2 rose from East Edelweis.
This morning after receiving information on Diki Adi's whereabouts, SRU 2 moved from Tunggul Besi to the victim's position and assisted in the evacuation process until he arrived at the post at 10:50 WITA.
Not long after, victim Ridho Adi was found in the vicinity of the river near the waterfall on Mount Agung.

When found, the victim complained of pain due to a broken leg so that she could not jointly continue her journey and needed evacuation assistance.
"The joint SAR team found the second victim at 10:45 WITA at an altitude of 1,700 MDPL, he immediately received initial medical treatment, on suspicion of having an injury to the motion apparatus," he said.
