Lewis Hamilton Is Getting Closer To Becoming A KTM Owner
JAKARTA F1 racing star Lewis Hamilton is getting closer to being the owner of the KTM team. He has already held concrete talks regarding the purchase of shares from the team.
Direktur KTM Motorsports, Pit Beirer, mengatakan bahwa mereka menyambut baik pembicaraan dengan calon investor, termasuk Hamilton yang tertarik untuk memiliki tim di MotoGP.
"I can only say that we have very interesting discussions with its management (Lewis Hamilton)," Pit Beirer told Speedweek.
KTM is currently struggling to overcome the financial difficulties that have emerged since the end of the 2024 MotoGP season. However, the team stated that they were able to face the 2025 season.
Beirer admitted that their conversation had no problems, one of which was related to Hamilton's sponsorship issue, Monster Energy, which is Red Bull rival, the main supporter of KTM.

"Anyone who wants to work with us knows about this closeness. Red Bull and KTM are inseparable. That's not a problem in negotiations so far," he said.
KTM is not the first MotoGP team to be eyed by Hamilton. The 39-year-old British racer was also linked to Gresini Ducati earlier this season.
Unfortunately, this desire did not produce results. However, the seven-time F1 world champion still has an interest in MotoGP and has the potential to invest in one of the teams.
KTM insists on attracting investors because of the takeover of MotoGP by Liberty Media. This is still awaiting regulatory approval.
