Dissatisfied With The Police Version Of DNA Test Results, Parents Allegedly Exchanged Wants Independent DNA Tests

JAKARTA Not satisfied with the results issued by the police, Rauf and Feni, parents of the allegedly swapped baby in a state of death at the Cempaka Putih Islamic Hospital (RSIJ), Central Jakarta, plan to do an independent DNA test.

DNA test results carried out by the DNA Laboratory Division of the Center for Medicine and Health (Pusdokkes) of the National Police Laboratory stated that the baby who died was the son of Muhammad Rauf (27) and Feni Selviyanti (26).

"I asked for a reserve sample, but so far I have not been given a sample. I want to do an independent DNA test," said the father of a baby boy, Muhammad Rauf at the Central Jakarta Metro Police Headquarters, Tuesday.

In addition to asking the police for DNA samples, Rauf also asked for evidence from the surveillance camera (CCTV) at the Cempaka Putih Hospital during the delivery of his wife.

"I also want CCTV footage," he said.

Head of the Criminal Investigation Unit (Kasat Reskrim) of the Central Jakarta Metro Police, AKBP M Firdaus, said that the pair Muhammad Rauf and Feni Selviyanti could still question the results of DNA tests in Cipinang directly.

"If the results of the DNA examination in the laboratory field come out, Pak Rauf and the legal team can still question this result clearly directly to the National Police's DNA lab in Cipinang," said Firdaus.

In addition, his party has also coordinated with the laboratory team to be ready to serve if the baby's parents want to study the DNA test results.

"The DNA sample is still there, Mr. Rauf, if you want an independent DNA test, please. However, the results of the coordination there are still samples and if you test the results will also be the same. But if you are not satisfied, please carry out an independent DNA test," he said.

Previously, he said, the DNA test results between the allegedly exchanged babies and the two people had been out since December 20, 2024.

From the DNA test results, the allegedly exchanged baby was declared the biological child of the husband and wife couple Muhammad Rauf and Feni Selvianti.

"So it can be scientifically proven that Mr. X is a biological child on behalf of Rauf and Feni Selvianti," said Firdaus at the Central Jakarta Metro Police Headquarters.
