News Of Hasto Suspect As An Effort To Drown PDIP, PKB: The Process Has Been A Long Time
JAKARTA - Member of Commission III of the DPR RI from the PKB faction, Hasbiallah Ilyas responded to the PDIP's accusation that the KPK hadto Kristiyanto had named the suspect as an attempt to drown the party.
According to Hasbi, the determination cannot be considered political and then the legal process against Hasto regarding the Harun Masiku case has been carried out for a long time.
"I think this is the case, right now, the process regarding Mr. Hasto is indeed a long process. It's possible from 2019," Hasbi said when contacted, Tuesday, December 24.
Even so, the member of the legal commission asked all parties to wait for an official announcement by the KPK. He hopes that the KPK will work professionally in handling the case.
"Well, we see that the KPK has not announced it today, there is nothing definite yet. So we can't law it, we suspect, we have to go through evidence, through a clear statement from the KPK and the second, about Mr. Hasto, I think the KPK must be professional. It must be professional," said Hasbi.
"It cannot be linked to politics. But we'll see how it develops," continued the PKB politician.
Hasbi emphasized that he had not been able to comment much on the handling of this case by the KPK. Because the KPK leadership has not officially announced the determination of the suspect against Hasto.
"Why later, I also can't think long, wide. Because I don't know the reason why the KPK suspects Pak Hasto with any evidence," he concluded.
Previously, PDIP spokesman Chico Hakim responded to the news that the PDIP Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto was a suspect by the KPK. Chico accused that the determination of the suspect status against Hasto was a legal politicization aimed at drowning the bull party.
"We see that the legal politicization is very strong, the evidence that the suspects in the CSR BI case alone can be corrected. And, if the allegations to suspect the Secretary General have been around for a long time. It is very clear that there are efforts to disrupt the PDI-P with the aim of drowning or taking over," Chico said when confirmed, Tuesday, December 24.

Chico gave an example of an attempt to politicize the law in the form of a sprindik threat to several general chairmen of other political parties. Finally, he said, the chairman of the political party gave up and followed the flow of policy.
"Only PDIP, apart from not giving up, is even harder to fight. So various pressures including the threat of imprisonment for PDIP cadres are actually energy for greater ideals, preserving the life of democracy in this country," Chico said.
