Jelita Bahar Experiences Anxiety Disorder, Anisa Bahar Panicked

JAKARTA - Singer Anisa Bahar said that her daughter, Jelita Bahar, has an anxiety disorder. Unfortunately, Anisa admitted that at that time she did not understand about the mental health disorder. As a result, she took Jelita to a psychic because she felt that her child had been bewitched.

"Yes, I know, but I didn't understand that there was a disease, so I thought there was something wrong with my child. So instead of taking her to a psychiatrist, I took her to a psychic," said Anisa Bahar as quoted by VOI from Instagram @rumpi_ttv, Tuesday, December 24.

"I took her as if my child had been bewitched. Because I said 'is my child crazy?', because I really didn't understand," she said.

Anisa said that Jelita once suddenly had a seizure when she was going with her in the car and had to be rushed to the hospital. At that moment, Anisa still didn't understand what was happening to her daughter.

"Because in front of my own eyes, we were on the road, driving, I was driving, suddenly she had a seizure, asked me to pull over, exit the toll road, finally went to the hospital," she said.

"Then she asked to go to the hospital, finally she was treated, like that I thought, oh my God, what's wrong with my child? What disorder does it have? Is it a mental disorder?" Anisa continued.

Jelita's condition had hindered Anisa from earning money because her daughter often cried when her mother was going to work.

"Yes, every day she was often hospitalized, I couldn't work, I went to work she always cried for me, like crying not wanting to be left by me, so I was confused too, if I didn't work who would feed her?" she explained.

Fortunately, now, Anisa has slowly understood her daughter's condition and tried to apologize because she couldn't understand at first.

"I understand now. I apologize that maybe I haven't been a good mother, maybe yesterday I didn't understand her," explained Anisa.

"To the point that it might have made her depressed, maybe it made her 'you're my mother but you don't understand me', because I really don't understand the disease, right," she said.
