"Alhamdulillah, our stock is safe. Especially for the rice stock, we have discussed and communicated with Bulog, there are 2 million tons," said Agriculture Minister Andi Amran Sulaiman as reported by ANTARA, Monday, December 23.

In addition to rice, the Minister of Agriculture mentioned the adequacy of a number of other commodities, such as eggs, chickens, chilies, and others.

Not only is the adequacy of safe production, commodity prices are also monitored to be stable.

"So it's very safe, chicken eggs, chilies, very safe. Food ingredients are also decreasing," he said.

Starting from discussing subsidized fertilizers, improving irrigation, supporting nutritious food programs, and especially the strategy of realizing food self-sufficiency.

"Then our plan for the future 2025, we have prepared it from now on. We are working hard so that self-sufficiency is as fast as possible according to President Prabowo's direction," said the Minister of Agriculture.

Previously, the Coordinating Minister for Food Affairs (Menko Pangan) Zulkifli Hasan (Zulhas) ensured that food stocks were sufficient for Christmas and New Year.

Zulhas ensures adequate supply of rice, salt, sugar, chicken meat, and eggs.
