Thanks To Community Events, Public Insurance Interest Increases
JAKARTA Data from the 2024 Financial Literacy and Inclusion National Survey (SNLIK) shows that the insurance literacy index rate has increased to 76.25% from 31.72% in 2022. However, the insurance inclusion index actually decreased, in 2024 it was recorded to be 12.21% from 16.63% in 2022.
The wide distance between the literacy index and the insurance inclusion index indicates that the understanding of insurance products has not been followed with the desire to have insurance products. Based on this, Jagadiri Insurance is committed to increasing public interest in insurance products through various literacy activities.
This insurance routinely holds financial literacy activities for the community. This year financial literacy is carried out through various activities, including financial literacy at St. Hospital. Carolus Summarecon Serpong which is carried out online and offline, Jagadari Community Camp at Gelora Bung Karno (GBK) Senayan, and Jagadiri Care activities at the Tebet District Office. All these activities were attended by more than 400 participants.
Jagandiri Community Camp targets the Millennial Generation and Gen Z while Jagadiri Cares for Mothers of Family Welfare Empowerment (PKK).
The Jagadari Community Camp activity began with cooperating with the roller skate community, Indonesia Rolling Community and the running community, IdeaRun. The event was held in early December at GBK, Senayan.
Participants come from various professional backgrounds ranging from students, entrepreneurs, employees, to healthy lifestyle activists. In this activity, each participant gets self-impurity protection, namely Safe Care Collection Insurance for a period of 3 hours or during the activity.
The benefits provided by the Safe Guard Insurance Collection in the form of compensation for death due to accidents worth Rp. 5,000,000 and hospital care compensation due to accidents of a maximum of Rp. 500,000.
"The Jagadari Community Camp activity is in line with our vision to provide health solutions to the community and promote a healthy lifestyle as a preventive activity that needs to be done so that the body remains fit and healthy. It is the same with insurance products that are preventive to overcome financial risks," said Director of Operations for Jagadari Insurance, Priska Kurniawan in a media statement Friday, December 20.
The next insurance literacy activity is carried out on Mrs. PKK because the role of women is very important in planning and managing family finances.
Participants not only get insurance education, but also free health checks in collaboration with Tebet Hospital. This education aims to increase public understanding and interest in insurance as one of the financial products that helps avoid financial risks that can occur at any time.
Deputy Head of Tebet Sub-district, Dimas Prayudi, welcomed this initiative. "We really appreciate this Jagandiri Care activity as a form of the company's responsibility for insurance literacy in the community. This activity will help improve the understanding of mothers about the importance of protecting their families," said Dimas.
