Christmas And New Year 2025 In Bandarlampung, 434 Joint Personnel Deployed, 6 Security Posts Founded

JAKARTA - The police deployed 434 joint personnel to secure Christmas and New Year's 2025 in Bandarlampung.

Bandarlampung Police Chief Kombes Pol Abdul Waras said joint personnel consisted of 273 police, 161 joint members of the TNI and related agencies.

"We have also established six security posts spread across the Bandarlampung City area, in securing Christmas and New Year," he said.

He said the 2024 Krakatau Candle Operation regarding Christmas and the 2025 New Year will last for 13 days, starting from Saturday 21 December to 2 January 2025.

He said that there were six security posts for the 2024 Krakatau Candle Operation, including Ramayana service posts, Raja Basa Terminal service posts, Baruna Panjang Pam Post, Sukamaju Pam Post, Kemiling Pam Post and Ryacudu Post.

"We have also prepared personnel who will later be placed at a number of strategic points, including places of worship, shopping centers, terminals, stations and places of public entertainment," he said.

In addition, the homecoming route or the road to tourist attractions is also the main focus of security considering the potential for increasing community mobility during the long Christmas and New Year holidays.

"Therefore, cross-sectoral cooperation is also the key to the success of securing Christmas and New Year. In this case, the National Police has coordinated with related parties, including religious leaders and the community to support the peaceful atmosphere during Christmas and New Year celebrations," he said.

The Bandarlampung Police Chief also appealed to the public to remain vigilant and comply with traffic rules while traveling during the 2024 Christmas and 2025 New Year holidays.

"For users of public transportation, it is important to pay attention to luggage and report suspicious things to the authorities," he said.
