Tottenham Not Interested In Signing Marcus Rashford
JAKARTA - Tottenham Hotspur manager, Ange Postecoglou, has narrowed prospects for the move for Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford in the January 2025 exchange.
Rashford confirmed on Tuesday, December 17, 2024, evening local time, that he is ready for new challenges and next steps.
This hinted at the attacker's intention to leave the club after being expelled from the Manchester United squad in a win against Manchester City on Sunday, December 15, 2024.
Prior to Postecoglou's arrival, Spurs had been linked with interest in Rashford. However, speaking on Wednesday, December 18, 2024, ahead of the Carabao Cup quarter-final match against Manchester United, the coach dismissed the issue of interest.

"If I look at everyone associated with us, I don't have time for anything else."
"I have other people to do a part of that process. For us, we have been quite disciplined in terms of what we are trying to do here. We will continue like that."
"It (Rashford) is not on my radar. You can ask me about Marcus, you can ask me about every Premier League football player. I will say the same thing."
"(I'm) not interested, I don't care. He's a Manchester United player, a very good player."
"They have a lot of good players. However, I manage my players. I think other managers will manage their own players."
"Regarding Marcus' situation, I have no desire to investigate further," said Postecoglou.
Apart from that, the match against Manchester United in the quarter-finals of the Carabao Cup on Friday, December 20, 2024, is certainly very crucial.
Spurs need to bring victory as an effort to continue the positive trend after silencing Southampton 5-0 in the Premier League.
Victory is the only way to reduce public pressure after five matches without winning in a row before traveling to The Saints headquarters.
Spurs will face the Red Devils with the absence of a number of pillars. They will play without center-back Micky van de Ven (back thigh) and Cristian Romero (paha) until the New Year from injury.
Meanwhile, Destiny Udogie is doubtful against Manchester United because of exhaustion.
Postecoglou also added that Moore (sick) and Ben Davies can return next week. Then, Richarlison (back thigh) will be available in the first week of January 2025.
