The joint team from the Central Jakarta Metro Police and the Tanah Abang Metro Police are still investigating the death of a restaurant project worker on Jalan Kebon Kacang 29, Tanah Abang District, Central Jakarta, due to clashes with residents.

So far, the joint team is still examining 10 eyewitnesses at the scene. The examination was carried out to find out the sitting case which caused the victim with the initials AS (71), a resident of Cakung, East Jakarta, to die full of stab wounds.

"There were 5 witnesses from workers, and 5 witnesses from residents who were examined," said Tanah Abang Metro Police Chief, AKBP Aditya Sembiring when confirmed by VOI, Thursday, December 19.

However, the police have not been able to confirm the motive for the commotion. The police still suspect that there is miscommunication between residents and project workers. This is because the land does not have a dispute status.

"The motive is still being investigated. For the initial assumption, it is due to the miscommunication of residents with workers," he said.
