Cianjur Agrotourism Corruption Suspect Ministry Employee Detained, Returns IDR 120 Million

CIANJUR - The Cianjur District Prosecutor's Office, West Java, has detained employees of the Ministry of Agriculture DNF related to the alleged corruption case in the construction of two agro-tourism locations in Cianjur which cost the state around Rp. 8 billion.

Head of Cianjur Kejari Kamin said that initially DNF could not fulfill the summons for examination because he was undergoing treatment at a hospital in Jakarta, until finally the person concerned turned himself in.

"The DNF finally came for an examination as a suspect and was immediately detained because previously he had been named a suspect along with one other suspect with the same case," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, December 18.

Before being investigated as a suspect, DNF had returned Rp120 million.

The return did not erase his status as a suspect and the legal process against the two SO and DNF suspects continued.

Currently, his party is still investigating the two suspects regarding the alleged corruption case in the construction of two agro-tourism locations in Warungkondang and Cipanas sub-districts which spent Rp13 billion.

"Both of them were named suspects in the alleged corruption of agro-tourism aid sourced from the Ministry of Agriculture's budget in 2022, funds amounting to Rp. 13 billion for the construction of agro-tourism in Sindangjaya Village and Tegalega Village," he said.

DNF is an employee at the Ministry of Agriculture and SO is a private employee, both of them are working together to realize agro-tourism development assistance in Cianjur, the two agro-tourism development have been completed.

"The first location in Sindangjaya Village, Cipanas District and Tegalega Village, Warungkondang District, for Cipanas agro-tourism, the budget is Rp. 3.6 billion and for the Warungkondang location is Rp. 9.7 billion," he said.

The two suspects worked together to realize agro-tourism development assistance in Cianjur from the Ministry of Agriculture, where tens of billions of funds were initially channeled through seven community groups which were allegedly only formed in the same year.

After the money entered the group's account, the two suspects again withdrew and the construction of agro-tourism that should have been carried out self-managed was only carried out by SO as a third party, even though all work had been completed 100 percent.

"The accountability report has been carried out 100 percent, but after an investigation and investigation, it was revealed that the conditions were not in accordance with development planning so that the agro-tourism did not run properly," he said.
