US President Joe Biden Promises To Continue Efforts To Free All Hostages In Gaza

JAKARTA - United States President Joe Biden promised to release 100 hostages who are still in the Gaza Strip, Palestine, during a speech at his last Hanukkah celebration at the White House.

"I have released more than 100 hostages. I will not stop until I release them all," President Biden said.

Meanwhile, speaking before President Biden was Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff, who had led the government's efforts to combat antisemitism.

"Tonight, I dedicate myself to fighting antisemitism and hatred in any form," Emhoff said, pledging to continue his efforts after the government's term ended in more than a month.

Meanwhile, Deputy National Security Adviser to the World of Maya and New Technology Anne Neuberger thanked President Biden for "conducting a Shiva call" to Israel, referring to his visit to Israel days after the Hamas attack on October 7, 2023.

President Biden reiterated his belief that you should not be a Jew to become a Zionist.

"And I am a Zionist," he said, greeted by applause from the audience.
