Bogor Police Implement Car Free Night On New Year's Eve At The Top

The Bogor Resort Police have again imposed a Free Night Car or a vehicle-free night on the Puncak tourist route, Bogor Regency, West Java, on New Year's Eve.

"There will be traffic engineering, one of which is Car Free Night, which will be held at 18:00 WIB where we will transfer the Ciawi Gate Toll Road towards Puncak via Ciawi," explained Head of Bogor Police Traffic Unit AKP Rizky Guntama Ganda Permana as reported by ANTARA, Monday, December 16.

Car Free Night this time is different from last year which was carried out until 06.00 WIB. This year Car Free Night is enforced until 02.30 WIB, followed by traffic engineering in a one-way system from Puncak to Jakarta.

Rizky explained, during the implementation of Car Free Night, vehicles were not allowed to enter the Puncak route from the Puncak Toll exit starting at 18.00 WIB.

However, vehicles are still allowed to pass from other routes, including from the exit of the Ciawi Toll Road. "So the Ciawi Gate Toll Road will be closed heading to Puncak and will be diverted towards Ciawi," said Rizky.

Then, the Puncak tourist route began to be sterilized from the vehicle at 22.00 WIB until 02.30 WIB. Officers will block vehicles at each intersection to the Puncak route.

In addition to implementing Car Free Night on New Year's Eve, the Bogor Police also implemented traffic engineering in the form of the Odd Even System to One Way during the long Christmas and New Year holidays on the peak tourist route.

"Tourists are advised to cooperate to maintain smoothness and then anticipate their holidays so they don't get odd-even," said Rizky.
