PDIP Officially Sacked Jokowi as Cadre

JAKARTA - The Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP) has officially dismissed and fired the 7th President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo alias Jokowi from his membership as a cadre of the bull party.

The dismissal letter was read directly by the Chairman of the PDIP Honour Division, Komarudin Watubun, witnessed by all ranks of the PDIP DPP leadership.

‘Together with this, on 16 December 2024, I received a direct order from the Chairman of the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle to officially announce, in accordance with the party's Articles of Association and Bylaws in front of all ranks of DPD Party Chairmen throughout Indonesia,’ Komarudin said through a video circulating in Jakarta, Monday, 16 December.

The sanction for Jokowi's dismissal is contained in decision letter number 1649 / KPTS / DPP / XII / 2024, concerning the dismissal of Joko Widodo from membership of the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle.

‘The Central Leadership Council of the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle considers and so on, remembers and so on, pays attention, decides, one, determines, gives organisational sanctions in the form of dismissal to Joko Widodo from membership of the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle,’ said Komarudin Watubun.

PDIP prohibits Jokowi from carrying out activities and holding any position on behalf of the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle.

‘As of the issuance of this dismissal letter, the PDI-P DPP has no relationship with and is not responsible for anything done by Joko Widodo,’ said Komarudin.

Komarudin emphasised that the PDI-P DPP will be held accountable for this decision letter at the upcoming Congress. This decision letter is valid from the date of its enactment, and if in the future there is an error, it will be reviewed and corrected accordingly.

Apart from Jokowi, the DPP PDIP will also announce the dismissal of Gibran Rakabuming Raka and Bobby Nasution, as well as 27 other members.
