28 Companies to Build Factories in KIT Batang, Investment Value Reaches IDR 18.7 Trillion

BATANG - President Director of PT Kawasan Industri Terpadu Batang (KITB) Ngurah Wirawan said that at least 28 companies will build factories on 339 hectares (ha) of land until December 2024.

The total investment value reaches IDR 18.7 trillion.

"Currently, there are 6 companies that are already operating and have produced 5,500 workers. In 2029, it is likely to be projected to be 39,000 employees," Ngurah told reporters at Grand City Batang, Sunday, December 15.

He added that tenants at KITB come from China, South Korea, Chile, Thailand, the United States, Japan, the Netherlands, Taiwan, Singapore, and of course Indonesia.

"Finding investors for these giant projects takes a long time. To continue growing, we need to develop other aspects," said Ngurah.

Not only factories, he said, KITB has launched commercial and residential zones to open up new opportunities for investors.

"We are oriented to build flats for factory workers in KITB," he said.

"People working at KITB will mostly be people from outside the Batang area," he concluded.
