Call There Is An Intervention By The Apparatus During Recapitulation, PDIP Will Guard The Voice Of The Papuan People
JAKARTA - Chairman of the PDI-P (PDIP) DPP Ronny Talapessy emphasized that his party will continue to guard the votes of the Papuan people from parties who are trying to damage it. Such as from the intervention of the police to the recapitulation of the results of the Central Papua Pilkada.
According to Ronny, the Papuan people have committed to maintaining a democracy that has grown well. Even Papua has gone through a long historical process by participating in various elections in previous years.
"In this case, we see that the process in Papua has gone well. But we suspect that there are parties who are not satisfied with the recapitulation calculation," said Ronny at a press conference, Friday, December 13.
Ronny said that the intervention of the apparatus did not only occur in Paniai, Central Papua, but also happened in Papua Identification, precisely in South Jayapura Regency. Ronny said that the Pilkada recapitulation process had to withdraw from the stipulated time.
Ronny said these efforts also received a strong response from the local community. In fact, he said, many Papuan mothers were willing to wait for the recapitulation process in front of the building.
"They demand justice, they ask that the recapitulation in Jayapura run democratically, run openly, there is no intervention," he said.
Unfortunately, continued Ronny, Papuans who demanded justice were faced with state officials who were deployed and faced before them. Therefore, PDIP reminded that no parties should try to disturb the Papuan people.
"We PDIP always keep this democratic process going well, there are no incidents that cause casualties. We really respect it, and we really take care of it," said Ronny.
"And to the security forces and the organizers, please respect, respect the voices of the Papuan people. They are part of the Republic of Indonesia," he concluded.
