Teenagers Killing Fathers And Grandmothers In Lebak Bulus Have Been Forgiven By Their Mothers

JAKARTA - The police revealed that the mother with the initials AP (40) who was stabbed by her son, MAS (14) to death has forgiven her son's actions.

Head of Public Relations of the South Jakarta Metro Police, AKP Nurma Dewi, said that AP conveyed an apology to MAS during an examination by the police a few days ago.

"We asked for information yesterday, his mother deeply forgives," said Nurma to reporters at the Tebet Police, South Jakarta, Friday, December 13.

Nurma revealed that AP still considers MAS as his son even though he has killed his husband and mother.

"Her mother said, '' whatever she did, she was still my child and still forgiven'. Those were her mother's words," said the Head of Public Relations.

Even though it has been forgiven, said Nurma, the case that ensnared the vocational school student in South Jakarta will continue. Because MAS has killed another person's life.

He also explained that restorative justice can be done if the victim only suffers from injuries.

Losing someone else's life. It can't be (restorative justice). For example, if he (the victim) is only injured, it's okay, trivial. But if you lose someone else's life you can't tolerate it," said Nurma.

MAS is included in the category of children in conflict with law (ABH). He was charged with Article 338 of the Criminal Code, subsidiary to Article 351 paragraph 3 of the Criminal Code.

"(Article) 338 of the Criminal Code has a subsidiary of 351 paragraph 3, persecution that results in the loss of the lives of others," he said.

Not only that, MAS is also applied to Articles of Domestic Violence (KDRT), namely Article 44 of the Criminal Code paragraphs 2 and 3.

"Also domestic violence articles 44 paragraphs 2 and 3," he said.
