House Of Representatives Legislators Were Injected With Nusantara Vaccine Made By Terawan In RSPAD, Is It True?

JAKARTA - Member of Commission IX of the House of Representatives Saleh Partaonan Daulay confirmed some of his colleagues in the commission will visit the Army Central Hospital (RSPAD) Gatot Soebroto, Jakarta, Wednesday, April 14.

However, he does not know for sure, whether the arrival of the House health commission to RSPAD at 10.00 a.m. is for volunteerism to be injected with the Nusantara vaccine in clinical trial phase II or just control the course of vaccine development by the former Health Ministry (Menkes) Terawan Putranto.

"I don't know, I'm not the promoter", Saleh confirmed to VOI editorial team, Wednesday, April 14.

Saleh claimed there had been discussions in the commission for such purposes. However, because he had been injected with the Sinovac vaccine twice, he did not participate in the group to RSPAD.

"I was invited but I've had the Sinovac vaccine twice", he said.

Previously, Vice Chairman of Commission IX of the House of Representatives Melki Laka Lena said, he and a number of board members will receive the Nusantara vaccine injection in phase II clinical trial at the Army Central Hospital (RSPAD) Gatot Soebroto, today.

"Tomorrow (Wednesday) it is me and the members of Commission IX partly and other commissions, we will be injected with the Nusantara vaccine in RSPAD tomorrow morning. The leader of the House of Representatives is likely to come, I just spoke with Mr. Terawan (the pioneer of Nusantara vaccine)", Melki said, Tuesday, April 13.

Melki added that the Nusantara vaccine research has stopped because it has not obtained a phase II clinical trial permit by the Food and Drug Administration (BPOM).

According to him, the team of the Nusantara vaccine researchers has adjusted the development of vaccines with recommendations from BPOM.

"And researchers already make adjustments, have already applied improvements as noted by BPOM and because BPOM only provides a kind of recommendation record, and the research continues to run", he said.
