Land Status Left By Fire Victims In Kemayoran Not Owned By Personal, Some Residents 'pass' Stay
JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Disgulkamat concluded that the fire in 8 RTs in the Kemayoran area was suspected to have occurred due to an electrical short circuit. The fire scorched at least 200 semi-permanent houses belonging to residents on Tuesday, December 10, yesterday.
The fire incident that occurred on Jalan Kemayoran Gempol RT 02 to 09 in RW 05 Kebon Blank Village, Kemayoran was only extinguished on Tuesday night. As a result of the fire, 1,800 people were forced to flee in the school building.
According to L (57) local residents, the status of land ownership in the location of the burned area does not fully belong to the citizens' personal rights.
"The land is mixed here, some are privately owned, some are rented, some are cultivated," L told VOI at the location, Thursday, December 12.
According to L, the fire that occurred in his area was caused by a short circuit in the electricity from an electric stove.
Meanwhile, according to another fire victim, W (40) said he hoped that the government could rebuild their burning house.
"I want it, if it's built, it's a house. Yes, if you want it to be helped, it will be built in the same location there," hoped L.

"Yes, I don't know either, it's the government too. It's just a ride," he said.
Previously, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government considered moving fire victims on Jalan Kebon Blank, Kemayoran, Central Jakarta, to flats (rusun) in Jakarta.
This was conveyed by the Acting Governor of Jakarta, Teguh Setyabudi, in response to the press regarding the handling of victims of the Kebon Blank fire such as victims of the Manggarai fire who received units at Rusunawa Pasar Rumput.
"There are those who are indeed at home, some are rented houses. I have not made a decision. But I am trying to discuss it," said Teguh at the evacuation post at SDN 09 Kebon Blank, Central Jakarta, Wednesday, December 11.
Teguh had a chance to talk with the refugees regarding the plan to move the house to the nearest flat.
"Some answered that they immediately agreed, some were still silent, but this is still in the sense that it has not been decided. Of course we will verify the data related to the problem," said Teguh.
