Andika-Hendi Sue The Results Of The Central Java Gubernatorial Election To The Constitutional Court

JAKARTA - The candidate pair for governor and deputy governor of Central Java number 1 Andika Perkasa-Hendrar Prihadi sued the results of the Central Java Pilgb to the Constitutional Court.

Based on the official website of the Constritusi Court (MK), the Andika-Hendi pair, Hendrar Prihadi's nickname, registered his lawsuit at 22.13 WIB, Wednesday, December 11, online.

The application was registered with the Petition Application Application Certificate (APPP) Number: 266/PAN.MK/e-AP3/12/2024. "The Petitioners: Andika M. Perkasa and Hendrar Prihadilias Hendi. The applicant's power: Roy Jansen Siagian," he was quoted as saying on the 2024 Simultaneous Pilkada Case Requests List reported by ANTARA.

Andika-Hendi sued the election results for governors and deputy governors set by the General Election Commission (KPU) of Central Java Province in Semarang, Saturday (7/12).

The Central Java KPU determined candidate pair number 2 Ahmad Luthfi-Taj Yasin Maimoenunggul with 11,390,191 votes, while the Andika-Hendim pair won 7,870,084 votes.

The total number of valid votes obtained by the two pairs of candidates was 19,260,275 votes, while the number of invalid votes was 1,528,502 votes.

Judging from the MK page as of Wednesday night at 22.50 WIB, the total dispute over the results of the registered governor election was recorded at 13 applications.

This number consists of one request each related to the election of governors of Central Java, East Java, Southeast Sulawesi, South Sulawesi, North Sulawesi, East Kalimantan, and North Sumatra. Then three applications related to the election of the governor of North Maluku and three requests that sued the election results of the governor of South Papua.

Meanwhile, the number of lawsuits related to the election results of the regent has recorded 208 applications and 47 requests regarding the results of the mayorial election.

Thus, the total lawsuit for the 2024 Pilkada dispute which was registered with the Constitutional Court until Wednesday night at 23.00 WIB was 268 applications.
