Joint Team Conducts AKAP Ramp Check Bus At Jati Kudus Main Terminal

The KUDUS - Satlantas Polres Kudus, Central Java, together with a joint team carried out a "ramp check" activity or inspection of the intercity interprovincial bus fleet (AKAP) as the transportation for Christmas 2024 at the Jati Kudus Main Terminal.

The joint team involved in testing the feasibility of the bus fleet, namely from the Transportation Service (Dishub), Jasa Raharja, Health Service, and Dokkes Polres Kudus as an effort to prepare for the 2024 Christmas and 2025 New Year holidays.

"This ramp check activity is to maintain the safety of road users, especially travelers who will go or come to Kudus Regency using the AKAP bus fleet," said Head of Traffic at the Kudus Police, Iptu Royke Noldy Darean through the Head of Bin Ops (KBO) of the Kudus Police Traffic Unit, Iptu Noor Alifi, as reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, December 11.

The Ramp check will be held from Monday (9/12) in the context of facing the 2024 Candi Candle Operation which is planned to be held from 23 December 2024 to 2 January 2025.

The Kudus Police Traffic Unit together with a joint team checked the feasibility of passenger transport vehicles, including health tests on drivers and assistants to urine tests to ensure whether there was a drug content.

"The result was that they were in good health and did not find any positive bus crews for drugs. We still reminded them to be careful while driving and keep passengers safe to their destinations," he said.

For vehicle checks, he said, includes vital vehicle components, such as brakes, lights, wheels, and glass breaking hammers, as well as vehicle documents such as SIM and STNK.

The passenger bus that has been checked has not been found to be a vehicle that is not roadworthy, because it is suitable for use to enter the Jati Kudus Main Terminal.

"We also provide medicine and snacks for transportation crews as provisions while traveling," he said.
