Mohammad Ahsan Retires, Follows In The Traces Of Hendra Setiawan
JAKARTA The men's doubles specialist, Mohammad Ahsan, decided to hang up the racket from the tepok bulu sport following in the footsteps of his partner Hendra Setiawan.
Ahsan confirmed that he would leave the badminton world through uploads on his Instagram social media on Tuesday, December 10, 2024, WIB night.
"Bismillah. Alhamdulillah, finally there has been time to end my journey in the world of badminton," wrote Ahsan to accompany three photos.
Ahsan uploaded a photo showing himself climbing up and down a ladder to hang a racket on the wall and another photo as he was prostrates to kiss the field floor.
The 37-year-old badminton player made this announcement after Hendra Setiawan did it a few weeks ago.

Both of them confirmed that they would play their final event at the Indonesia Masters 2025. The tournament will be held at Istora Senayan, Jakarta, on January 21-26, 2025.
"Thanks to Allah Subhanahuwatala for His mercy I was able to go this far."
"Thank you to my parents, wife, and family who continue to support me at times of joy and sorrow," he wrote.
In the same upload, Ahsan also thanked his coach, PBSI, his former partner, Rian Agung and Bona Septano, as well as his club PB Djarum.
"Thank you very much to all the fans who have always been loyal to support. See you in Indonesia master 2025," wrote Ahsan.
During the couple, Ahsan and Hendra won several important events. One of them was winning three World Championship trophies in 2013, 2015, and 2019.
