KKB Shoots Members Of The Puncak Jaya Police

JAYAPURA - Head of Public Relations of the Papua Police, Kombes Ignatius Benny Ady Prabowo, said the armed criminal group (KKB) shot Bripda Choisu Rumabar, a member of the Puncak Jaya Police.

The victim was shot by KKB in Kampung 55, Pagaleme District, Puncak Jaya Regency, Central Papua.

"From the report received by the incident that occurred on Tuesday (10/12) at around 10.39 WIT, when Bripda Choisu Rumabar, together with his colleague Bripda Theofilus Awes were in the boarding house to transport the victim's personal belongings," said Head of Public Relations of the Papua Police, Kombes Ignatius Benny Ady Prabowo, as reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, December 10.

Regarding the perpetrators, Kombes Benny said the police were still trying to identify them.

"Members are still investigating the case," said Kombes Benny.

The victim is known to have seen the perpetrator using an MX-King motorbike passing by and pointing a short-barreled firearm at the head of Bripda Choisu Rumabar.

Seeing this, the victim immediately looked down, so the shot hit the victim in the left calf.

The victim was then taken to Mulia Hospital for medical treatment. The victim will be evacuated to Jayapura.
