Waiting For Prabowo's Decision, OIKN Chief Basuki Says There Will Be 5 Groundbreaking At IKN

JAKARTA - Head of the Archipelago Capital Authority (OIKN) Basuki Hadimuljono said there would be a new groundbreaking at IKN Nusantara.

Basuki continued, his party is currently proposing this to President Prabowo Subianto.

"We are proposing to the President (Prabowo) for five groundbreakings. Together with the Ministry of Public Works (PU), we have proposed the inauguration," Basuki said when met at the Mandiri Tower, Jakarta, Monday, December 9.

Even so, Basuki could not confirm whether the 9th groundbreaking in IKN would be realized or not. The reason is, it depends on the President's decision later.

Basuki said the five groundbreakings included four from domestic private companies.

Meanwhile, for one other investor, his party is working to collaborate with Japanese company Sojitz.

"All domestic private members, we have only tried one Sojitz. From Japan, Sojitz," he said.

According to Basuki, the 9th groundbreaking of the IKN will target the offices, hotels, restaurants to reforestation sectors.

"(Don't know) the amount of the number," said Basuki.

Meanwhile, Deputy for Funding and Investment at OIKN Agung Wicaksono said the government would continue investment projects at IKN next year.

This is evident from the existence of five investors who are ready to realize their investment in the project worth Rp466 trillion.

"So, we will continue this investment. In the pipe line, maybe around Rp. 5 trillion has been processed," he said.
