Mike Tyson Sued In England For Canceling Promotion Deal Against Jake Paul
JAKARTA - Mike Tyson was sued in London's court for nearly $1.59 million for allegedly violating an agreement to promote a gambling company against YouTuber, Jake Paul.
Medier, a registered company in Cyprus promoting casino and online betting company Rabona, sued the former heavyweight champion and his company, Tyrannic, for allegedly refuting the deal agreed in January 2024.
The lawsuit filed at the London High Court in October 2024 states that Tyson ended the deal in March 2024, the same day his fight with Paul was announced.
At that time, Tyson claimed that Medier had violated their agreement. However, Medier's lawyers argue that his actions are not a violation of the deal.
A contract breach by Tyson has caused Medier to suffer a loss of around 1.46 million euros.

"The real reason for the hasty and unlawful termination of employment between Mike Tyson and Tyrannic is that Tyson has approved a Netflix-sponsored deal against influencer Jake Paul," the company's lawyer said in a document published on Friday, December 6, 2024, local time.
Tyson and Tyrannic have yet to file a defense against the lawsuit. In addition, he and his company have not been able to comment.
Meanwhile, Jake Paul beat Tyson by unanimous decision in Texas last month in a fight broadcast live on Netflix that failed to meet his big expectations.
