The Hunt For The Title Of The Saudi Arabian Pro League Is Getting More And More Difficult For Cristiano Ronaldo With Al Nassr

JAKARTA - The journey of the Saudi Arabian Pro League 2024/2025 is still long. Only 13 weeks have been played.

However, Cristiano Ronaldo is predicted to find it difficult to bring Al Nassr to win the league this season.

This emerged after Al Nassr lost to leaders Al Ittihad in Saturday, December 7, 2024, early morning WIB.

Karim Benzema opened Al Ittihad's lead in the 55th minute after the first half ended goalless.

The goal is the 10th collection for the French striker in the Saudi Arabian Pro League.

Cristiano Ronaldo had opened Al Nassr's hopes after equalizing two minutes later. The captain fired a shot past goalkeeper Predrag Rajkovic from close range.

However, for Al Nassr, the hosts scored a winning goal in injury time through Steven Bergwijn at King Abdullah Sports City, Jeddah.

The former Tottenham Hotspur striker's goal was quite beautiful because his shot was curling from the edge of the penalty box nestled in the far corner.

Bergwijn brought Al Ittihad to three points dramatically.

The victory brought Al Ittihad stronger at the top of the Saudi Arabia Pro League standings with a collection of 36 points.

Meanwhile, Ronaldo's team was thrown to fourth place with 25 points, 11 points clear of leaders.

Al Nassr is temporarily out of the Asia Elite Champions League ticket line next season considering only the top three Saudi Arabia Pro Leagues will feature in the top Asian tournament.

All of the 13th week of completion will be held on Sunday, December 8, 2024, the Saudi Arabian Pro League will take a day off. Week 14 continued on January 9, 2025.

Al Nassr clearly has to find a solution during the competition holiday in order to compete again at the top, especially in the race for the Saudi Arabian Pro League title this season.

Next, Al Nassr will face Al Okhdood on January 10, 2025.

Meanwhile, Al Ittihad will meet the toughest rivals and second in the standings, Al Hilal, on January 8, 2025 at the King's Cup of Saudi Arabia (King's Cup) before traveling to Al Fahya's headquarters on January 12, 2025 in the league.
