Needdem Convinced Of The Mobilization Of State Apparatus During The 2024 North Sumatra And Central Java Pilkada

JAKARTA - Researcher of the Association for Elections and Democracy (Perludem) Ajid Fuad Muzaki said the tendency to mobilize state apparatus significantly occurred in the 2024 Pilkada in North Sumatra (North Sumatra) and Central Java (Central Java) regions.

"The tendency to mobilize state apparatus looks quite a lot in North Sumatra and Central Java," said Ajid during an event entitled "Submission of Monitoring Results for Campaign Periods, Calm Days and Voting and Counting Votes", monitored from Jakarta, Friday, December 6, confiscated by Antara.

The mode used in mobilizing state apparatus is also varied, he said, such as limited meetings of village heads with meeting modes, to a number of village officials who provide direct support to one of the candidate pairs.

"In South Tapanuli (North Sumatra), this is quite viral, yes, it went viral, there were a number of village officials who gave support directly to one of the candidate pairs," said Ajid.

The incident shows that the mobilization of state apparatus in North Sumatra is still quite significant in the 2024 Pilkada.

Meanwhile, said Ajid, the regional elections in Central Java also contained the same pattern as North Sumatra.

"The results of the interview findings show that there are allegations of village heads and village officials, as well as government agency employees to win one of the candidate pairs," said Ajid.

Therefore, both in North Sumatra and Central Java, there is a pattern of mobilization of almost the same state apparatus in order to direct voters to win one of the candidate pairs.

On the other hand, for the Jakarta area, Ajid said more investigation was needed.

"Maybe because Jakarta has stricter supervision and the community is more open," said Ajid.

He made this statement regarding the results of monitoring the campaign period, calm days, voting, and vote counting conducted by Perludem in three provinces, namely North Sumatra, Jakarta, and Central Java.

Needdem assessed the three provinces as hot spots or hot spots for the 2024 Pilkada. This refers to the competition of major politicians in the Jakarta governor election, star wars' in the election of the governor of Central Java, to Bobby Nasution's candidacy, which is the son-in-law of the Seventh President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo (Jokowi), in the election of the Governor of North Sumatra.
