Ruud Van Nistelrooy Disappointed Because He Left Manchester United
JAKARTA - Leicester City's new manager, Ruud van Nistelrooy, admitted that he was disappointed to have stolen Manchester United after his brief trip as interim manager ended.
Nistelrooy is apparently not included in the projection of Manchester United's new manager, Ruben Amorim.
However, Nistelrooy understands why Amorism wants to bring its own assistant to Old Trafford.
"I am disappointed, yes, very disappointed. It hurts to have to leave (from Manchester United)," Nistelrooy said before making his debut as Leicester's new coach.
"The only job I will take as an assistant is at Manchester United. You see, I have ties to people at the club and fans."
"However, in the end I can understand it because I also understand the new manager. I spoke to Ruben Amorious about it."
"The conversation was full of gratitude, between individuals, between managers, and it really helped me to keep going and start the conversation immediately with new possibilities that raised my spirits," said the former Manchester United striker.

Van Nistelrooy is not a new figure for the Red Devils. While still actively playing, he was Old Trafford's public love.
During his Manchester United uniform, Nistelrooy scored 150 goals in five very successful years before moving to Real Madrid.
He then chose the track of the coach after retiring. After signing Jong PSV and PSV Eindhoven from 2021 to 2023, Nistelrooy was brought by Erik ten Hag to become an assistant in 2024.
However, Ten Hag was expelled in October 2024 and replaced by Amorim who only entered on November 11, 2024. When the position was vacant, Nistlerooy entered to deal with the Red Devils in four matches.
His short work was also positive. He brought the Red Devils never lost, three wins and one draw.
When the atmosphere came, Nistelrooy had said he wanted to survive. However, his wish could not be fulfilled.
He is also looking for a new adventure. Leicester, who is in need of a new manager after starring Ben Dawson, finally made a choice for Ruud van Nistelrooy.
The 48-year-old manager faced the challenge of keeping The Fox away from the brink of relegation. His debut was successful, he led Leicester to a first win after six games never winning (five defeats and one draw).
Leicester crushed West Ham United 3-1 on Wednesday, December 4, 2024. The Fox position has not moved from 16th place in the 2024/2025 Premier League standings.
However, Nistlerooy was not discouraged. He was eager to keep Leicester in the UK's highest level competition.
"People see Real Madrid, Manchester United, but my first three seasons as a professional are in Dutch football with FC Den Bosch. So, I know what it's like to fight," said Nistelrooy, who currently wants to fight for Leicester.
