Nino RAN Hopes Indonesian Young Musicians Can Win Grammy Awards

JAKARTA - Hoping that Indonesian musicians can win prestigious music awards such as the Grammy Awards may still be very difficult. However, Nino Kayam, who is familiarly called Nino RAN, sees the possibility that this could happen.

The RAN vocalist said that there are many big things that Indonesian young musicians have done. This is a sign that Indonesian music is actually growing.

Several young musicians, especially those with diaspora, have brought Indonesian names to the international music scene.

Nino mentioned several names that he called successful, such as Rich Brian, NIKI, Voice of Baceprot, and Joey Alexander.

For the last name mentioned, it has even been a Grammy nomination three times, but he still has to work harder to win trophies.

For Nino, what names have been mentioned, with their careers on the international stage, could result in Grammy's victory one day.

"When we go to the Grammys, we hope for friends who have started careers outside, such as Rich Brian, NIKI, Voice of Baceprot, and Joey Alexander," Nino said when met in Senayan, Central Jakarta, Monday, December 2.

More than that, what they have achieved through music is believed to have inspired many young musicians in the country.

Nino has high hopes that Joey Alexander cs's footsteps can be followed by those who are still building or will start their music careers in Indonesia.

"Yes, I hope the traces they have created can be followed by friends here," concluded Nino.
