Stabbing Perpetrator in South Jakarta is Still a Child, Police Conduct Phased Investigation
JAKARTA - South Jakarta Metro Police are gradually examining a child with the initials MAS (14) who stabbed his father APW (40) and his grandmother RM (69) to death and injured his mother AP (40) in Bona Indah Housing, Lebak Bulus, Cilandak, Saturday at 01.00 a.m. Western Indonesian Time (WIB).
"Of course, we will conduct the examination and investigation in stages. We will use a child psychologist from Apsifor," said South Jakarta Metro Police Chief Senior Commissioner Ade Rahmat Idnal in Jakarta, Sunday, December 1.
He said that until now there has been no conclusion that made the perpetrator commit murder. According to him, later the experts who will conclude include child psychologists, then also other experts.

He said that in this investigation, the Police will use the juvenile justice rules as stipulated in Law Number 11 of 2012 concerning the Juvenile Justice System.
Officers will also involve a psychiatrist to find out what motive the person in question committed murder even though he was very loved by his family. He said the perpetrator was also very sad and showed deep regret.
"Yes, he himself asked, how was his mother's condition. He regretted this incident very much," said the police chief, imitating the perpetrator's words.
Officers are also investigating whether he did it consciously and why he suddenly did it. Then what pressure was there, later the psychologist will provide an explanation of the results.
"And that must have been gradual," said Ade.
