Lack Of Evidence, Choi Minhwan's Sexual Violence Case Closed

JAKARTA - Minhwan FTISLAND opened his voice after his investigation was closed by the police after being deemed insufficient evidence. Friday, November 29, the Gangnam Seoul police stated that the process ended due to a lack of evidence during the examination.

"After reviewing allegations against Choi Minhwan regarding violations of the Anti-Prostitution Law and allegations of sexual assault, we have decided there is not enough evidence to prove the crime and have decided not to file the case to prosecution," said the Seoul Gangnam Police.

After the statement was released, Choi Minhwan released an official statement to the public via social media. He found it difficult to deal with the situation for several weeks.

At that time, many articles were published even just because of one comment from the members. In a situation like this, with unilateral claims, false accusations, and a lot of misappropriation spreading as if it were a fact, I feel that making premature statements without official results will only worsen the situation. Most importantly, I think it is very important to handle this problem properly, especially for the sake of my three children," said Choi Minhwan.

"To my fans and members, I want to apologize. I regret and reflect on the difficult and painful feelings I caused because of the action. I am very sorry for the disappointment I made," he said.

"In the future I will do it for responsibility. I apologize and thank those who love me," said Minhwan.

In October, Minhwan's ex-wife - Yulhee uploaded a video containing Minhwan's attitude during their marriage. Yulhee also explained one of the reasons they divorced was because Minhwan likes to visit prostitution places and submit their recorded evidence.

A netizen reported Minhwan on suspicion of sexual violence after Yulhee revealed that Minhwan put money in front of his parents.

After the report, Yulhee's legal side gave a statement. They said, "These special incidents are not the main reason for taking legal action. Yulhee did not file a complaint, and also did not intend to sue for punishment. Even though the matter is relevant to discuss Yulhee's efforts in raising children, it is not the main reason to take legal action."

Currently, Yulhee is taking care of changing custody that fell into Minhwan's hands at the Seoul Family Court.
