RK-Suswono Kubu Claims Jakarta Pilkada Will Be 2 Rounds, Cak Lontong: We Are Sure 1 Round

JAKARTA - The head of the winning team for Pramono Anung-Rano Karno, Lies Hartono or Cak Lontong, responded casually to the claim of the winning team Ridwan Kamil-Suswono which said the Jakarta Pilkada would be held in two rounds because no candidate pair had received more than 50 percent of the votes.

Cak Lontong emphasized that his party still believes that Pramono-Rano won the Jakarta Pilkada with votes above 50 percent. Thus, the two-round regional elections did not occur.

"In my opinion, whoever contests will expect to win. If the pair 01 hopes or maybe wants this to be two rounds, then of course we will see that we believe this is 1 round," said Cak Lontong at Pramono-Rano's winning house, Friday, November 29.

Cak Lontong is optimistic that the results of the manual vote recapitulation carried out by the DKI Jakarta General Election Commission (KPU) will be similar to the internal calculation of the PDIP candidate pair team.

Therefore, Cak Lontong hopes that the RK-Suswono camp can be relieved and accept defeat.

"We really hope that it will be like that, because everything is going well, KPUD and Bawaslu are also carrying out their duties very well, the TNI and Polri are also guarding this, so that the voters of the Jakarta Pilkada run smoothly. We hope that the results that we convey and in reality are like that," said Cak Lontong.

In a thanksgiving activity for the results of Pramono-Rano's vote at the winning house today, Cak Lontong thanked all parties, including supporters and organizers of the regional elections.

The Pramono-Rano team has completed the calculation of C1 sheets or vote recapitulation of up to 100 percent of polling stations (TPS) in Jakarta internally. As a result, Pramono-Rano received 2,183,577 votes or 50.07 percent.

The Pramono-Rano team also calculated the results of the votes acquired by other candidate pairs. Cagub-cawagub number 1, RK-Suswono is said to have received 1,718,408 votes or the same as 39.40 percent. Then, cagub-cawagub number 2, Dharma Pongrekun-Kun Wardana amounting to 459,283 votes or 10.53 percent.

"We will follow the next tiered calculation process until later it will be officially announced by the KPUD. The date is no later than December 15, 2024," explained Cak Lontong.

Previously, the winning team for the Candidate for Governor and Deputy Governor, Ridwan Kamil-Suswono, stated that the 2024 Jakarta Regional Head Election (Pilkada) would take place in two rounds.

This refers to the internal data of coalition parties and supporting community organizations (ormas). Where, the calculation with a total C1 ballot that came in reached 99 percent.

"We convey the results of the data input that we received stating that the 2024 simultaneous regional elections in DKI Jakarta will take place in two rounds," said Head of the Ridwan Kamil-Suswono Winning Team, Ahmad Riza Patria, quoted Thursday, November 28.

Based on internal data, Ridwan Kamil-Suswono received 40.17 percent of the votes or 1,748,714 million votes.

Then, Dharma Pongrekuen-Kun Wardana received 10.55 percent of the votes with 459.475,000 votes. Meanwhile, Pramono Anung-Rano Karno received 49.28 percent or 2,145,494 million votes.

"This is the result of the real count or actual calculation carried out by the data team in candidate pair number 1, namely Ridwan Kamil and Suswono," said Ariza.
