Rifda Irfanaluthfi Can Be Canceled From Appearing At The 2025 Gymnastics World Championships
JAKARTA A well-known Indonesian gymnast, Rifda Irfanaluthfi, there is a possibility of being absent from the 2025 Gymnastics World Championship because she is still struggling with injury problems.
The prestigious event is scheduled to take place from 19-25 October 2025 at the Indonesia Arena, Senayan, Jakarta. It is estimated that hundreds of athletes from around 60 countries will take part.
Rifda said that he is currently still focused on recovering after the ACL (anterior cruise league) operation so that he cannot confirm whether he can participate or not.
"Waiting for recovery first, I can find out. All of that must be discussed again later," said Rifda as quoted by Antara.
The recovery process of ACL injuries usually takes a very long time, ranging from six to eight months. It really depends on the body's response to therapy and exercise.
As part of the recovery process, Rifda underwent physiotherapy, training therapy, and body strengthening in the gym. In addition, he also fills his free time learning sign language.
"That is if everything goes according to plan. If there are obstacles, for example, conditions that are getting worse or the pain that never goes away, it can be processed longer," said Rifda.
Rifda received this injury when he appeared at the 2023 World Championships inikarp, Belgium, which saw him qualify for the 2024 Paris Olympics. The problem had not yet recovered when he raced in France.
Recently, Rifda was summoned by the Executive Board of the All-Indonesian Gymnastics Association (PB Persani) to participate in the national training camp (pelatnas) along with four other female athletes.
However, Rifda has not been able to participate in these activities because he is still focused on recovery. He will only follow the national training after his condition improves.
