Haru Prabowo's Tears Broke When He Announced The Increase In Teacher's Salary
JAKARTA President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto cried with emotion when announcing the policy of raising salaries for teachers on National Teacher's Day 2024 organized by the Ministry of Education and Culture at Velodrome Stadium, Rawamangun, East Jakarta, Thursday, November 28.
The moment occurred in the middle of Prabowo's speech after detailing the teacher's salary increase scheme, where ASN teachers received an additional welfare of 1 basic salary while non-ASN teachers increased the allowance value to Rp 2 million per month.
"We understand, we understand, our efforts, the efforts of the Minister of Education, the efforts of the Minister of Finance, we are aware that what we announced today has not yet been, not yet (all of them) what you need," said Prabowo.
At this moment, Prabowo had stopped for a while in his speech and the crying broke out instantly in front of the tens of thousands of teachers who were also present to witness.
Then, Prabowo stroked his tears with a small towel in front of the podium and Prabowo received a lively applause from the teachers.
"This is our effort, and we will continue to strive for this, we will continue to improve the lives of all our people, teachers, workers, farmers, fishermen, all our people need good quality of life," said Prabowo.
Prabowo emphasized that to achieve the good quality of life, Prabowo emphasized that his government will not tolerate any practice of authorizing corruption and will focus on realizing a clean government.
"And a good quality of life requires a clean government, I warn that corruption must stop in the Republic of Indonesia. The Red and White Cabinet will have no tolerance for corruption and abuse, stop, stop, stop!" said Prabowo.
At the end of his speech, Prabowo expressed his gratitude several times to the teachers and all related parties who had contributed to their respective fields.
