NewJeans Announce Out Of ADOR, As Of November 29

JAKARTA - The latest news comes from NewJeans. The five members: Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin, and Hyein announced their exit from ADOR as of November 29.

Thursday, November 28, the five members held a press conference after sending content certification to their agency, ADOR. Through the document, they asked for help to return to their original position with an ultimatum of 14 days.

They also stated that they would terminate the exclusive contract if their submission was not ignored by ADOR. They realized the plan.

"The return period ends tonight, but it looks like HYBE and ADOR now have no plans to form or listen to our request," the member said.

Minji explained, The exclusive contract between NewJeans and ADOR will end on November 29 at 12.00 p.m. South Korean time. We are tired of HYBE's insensive attitude and once again feel they have no desire to listen to our request.

They also explained the reason they left ADOR was because they felt like musicians, they didn't get support.

"The reason we left ADOR is very simple. ADOR has no intention or ability to protect NewJeans," he said.

Danielle also revealed that they will complete contracts and assignments with predetermined brands and schedules. The five Memebr NewJeans don't know if after this they can use the name NewJeans for promotion but they will fight for the name.

"There are a lot of articles about penalty fees (contracts) but we don't violate exclusive contracts and give our best so we don't have to pay a penalty. Even ADOR and HYBE should have paid the penalty," said Haerin.

NewJeans debuted in 2022 as the first artist in the ADOR label founded by Min Hee Jin under the HYBE company. In a year of debut, NewJeans became one of the musicians with the highest-selling album sales in the world during 2023.
