The Metro Police Said About The Forced Pick-up Of Firli Bahuri Who Was Often Absent
Polda Metro Jaya has not been able to determine the next steps related to the handling of the alleged extortion case against former Minister of Agriculture (Mentan) Syahrul Yasin Limpo or SYL with suspect Firli Bahuri. Including, regarding forced pick-up efforts.
The former chairman of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) is known to have been absent twice from the investigation as a suspect.
"Later, investigators will consider (forced pick-up of Firli Bahuri). Please take time," said Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Ade Ary Syam Indradi to reporters, Thursday, November 28.
According to him, in determining the steps to be taken regarding the handling of the Firli Bahuri case, the investigative team will consolidate.
Thus, all actions that will be taken will be in accordance with the applicable legal corridors.
"Currently, investigators are continuing to consolidate to determine further steps related to the investigation of this case," said Ade.

As a reminder, there are two alleged criminal acts that are being investigated regarding Firli Bahuri. First, the alleged extortion of SYL as regulated in Article 12e or 12B or Article 11 in conjunction with Article 65 of the Criminal Code.
In handling this case, Firli Bahuri has been named a suspect on November 23, 2023.
Investigators have also examined 134 witnesses and experts to date. The number is likely to continue to grow as the handling of the case has not been completed.
The second alleged criminal act is a meeting with the berkaka party, namely SYL as stated in Article 36 junto Article 65 of the KPK Law.
In handling the case, 39 witnesses and experts have been examined. However, Firli Bahuri's status is still being reported.
