Secretary General of the PDI-P (PDIP) Hasto Kristiyanto revealed that his party was under pressure in the 2024 Central Java Pilkada. There were reports that came in regarding this incident when monitoring was carried out.
"In Central Java, we received reports of tensions in Surakarta and Boyolali," Hasto told reporters while accompanying PDIP General Chair Megawati Soekarnoputri to vote at TPS 24, Kebagusan, South Jakarta, Wednesday, November 27.
In addition, PDIP also pocketed reports from other regions. One of them is East Java.
"Also from areas like East Java. "Relatively conducive but still wary of the movement of political parties, yes, just like in North Sumatra," he said.
Meanwhile, in North Sumatra, especially Medan City, continued Hasto, heavy rains have occurred which have resulted in flooding. He said the conditions indicated that the spatial planning policy launched by the government was not optimal.
The position of Mayor of Medan is occupied by Bobby Nasution who is the son-in-law of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi). Kahiyang Ayu's husband then ran for governor of North Sumatra with Surya.
Meanwhile, as opponents, Edy Rahmayadi and Hasan Basri Sagala. Edy received support from PDIP.
"In Medan (it happened, red) there was very heavy rain, there was flooding due to spatial planning policies that had not been going well so far," he said.
Furthermore, the PDIP called Hasto will continue to monitor. The hope is that the implementation of the 2024 Pilkada can run without intimidation and the influence of social assistance and money politics.
