JAKARTA - Former Governor of Jakarta, Anies Baswedan regretted the decision of the South Jakarta District Court Judge who rejected Tom Lembong's pretrial lawsuit.
According to him, at the trial, it was revealed that many things were not fulfilled by the Attorney General's Office (AGO) investigators when they arrested Tom Lembong.
"Yes, I regret yesterday's pretrial decision because we all witnessed that in the process there were so many things that were not fulfilled in the process of Mr. Tom Lembong's arrest," Anies told reporters, Wednesday, November 27.
In addition, Anies also mentioned that at the pretrial trial, a surprising expert testimony emerged. One of them is a duplicate of testimony and others.
Apart from that, Anies admitted that he had conveyed a message to Tom Lembong about the struggle to seek justice is not over.
Then, Tom Lembong was also asked to remain strong to undergo the ongoing legal process.
"So I told Tom yesterday that our struggle is still long. We are sure that we will be able to achieve justice and stay strong. God willing, the public will participate in guarding this process," said Anies.
Meanwhile, the judge rejected the pretrial lawsuit filed by Thomas Trikasih Lembong alias Tom Lembong regarding the alleged corruption case of sugar imports for the 2015-2016 period.
Tom Lembong is known to have sued his determination as a suspect and detention because he was deemed invalid.
"Rejected the applicant's pretrial application in its entirety," said Judge Tumpanuli during a trial at the South Jakarta District Court, Tuesday, November 26.
