KPK Prisoners With Jakarta Domicile Participate In Voting For The Regional Head Election Tomorrow
The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) said the suspects who have a Jakarta identity card (KTP) are welcome to nominate candidates for governor and deputy governor.
There are officers from the nearest polling station (TPS) who will come to the KPK Detention Center (Rutan).
"Regarding the voting at the KPK detention center, the information we received from the KPK did not open its own TPS, but there will be officers from the nearest TPS who will come to the detention center to give the suspects the opportunity to vote," said KPK spokesman Tessa Mahardika to reporters at the KPK's Red and White building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Tuesday, November 26.
The KPK said the number of detainees who would nominate candidates for governor and deputy governor in the Jakarta gubernatorial election reached 10 people. Meanwhile, prisoners from outside Jakarta cannot vote.
Because the KPK did not provide their facilities to be able to choose candidates from their area of origin. "I haven't been informed because in real terms the ballot papers are in each region in the area. So they are not sent to the KPK Detention Center," said Tessa.
"But in principle, the KPK facilitates if the suspects do have a vote (in Jakarta, ed)," continued the spokesman with the investigator's background.
