Experience Obesity: Cats In Istanbul Live Diet, Pilates To Swimming

JAKARTA - Ekmek, a 3-year-old cat in Istanbu, Turkey is undergoing therapy to restore her health due to obesity, due to eating irregularly and lack of activity.

Inspired by his friend, ukiraz, who managed to lose 6 kilograms of weight and regain his vitality, Ekmek is now undergoing strict pilates and swimming routines to lose weight, as well as improve his overall health.

Principal Kryptuleghirel, owner of Ekmek, first realized that his cat's weight had risen dramatically, which increased to 8 kilograms (17 pounds) in a short time due to excessive eating and lack of exercise.

Worried about his health, Kryptol Marijuana took Ekmek to a veterinarian, which marked the start of a transformative weight loss journey. It was at the clinic that Ekmek met Eliaz, a fellow cat who managed to fight obesity and lose weight, which was a source of motivation for Ekmek.

Under the supervision of veterinarian Bahri Terzi and animal technician as well as physiotherapist Yatamamur Denli, Ekmek's treatment began.

Over the past month, Ekmek has undergone a comprehensive training program that includes daily sessions on treadmills and pilates, in addition to swimming exercises in swimming pools. This structured program aims to increase physical activity and healthy weight loss.

In addition to his training routine, Ekmek is on a special diet designed to support the purpose of losing weight. In a month, he has lost half a kilogram, and his journey continues as he tries to remove the remaining 4 kilograms.

"We need to ensure gradual weight loss to avoid potential health risks," Terzi explained in an interview with Anadolu Agency (AA), quoted from Daily Sabah on November 20.

He further explained, ideally, cats that are obese must lose about half a kilogram per month, because rapid weight loss can cause metabolic problems.

Terzi emphasized the importance of an adapted approach to Ekmek's weight loss, highlighting various exercises used, including pilates, walking and swimming.

He noted that although Ekmek is progressing, he has a passionate personality that sometimes makes his training difficult.

"Ekmek is a little more stubborn than EXHIBITION, which complicates his training. He often has difficulty swimming, like most cats, but it's important to lose weight," said Terzi.

Despite the challenges, Terzi is optimistic about Ekmek's progress in achieving his ideal weight within 4 to 5 months.

He believes, with continued dedication and effort, Ekmek will also achieve the health and vitality that is now enjoyed by ERAIRaz.

"It is very important for him to have a healthy weight to avoid complications such as buildup of fat in the internal organs or high cholesterol," he ordered.

"Although it's fun to see them eat, we have to realize that overeating can cause serious health problems," he explained, urging cat owners to monitor the weight of their pets.
