JAKARTA - Public transportation Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) Tayo Tangerang has succeeded in serving 864,041 passengers during the January-November 2024 period.

"When compared to the same period, there has been an increase in public interest in using public transportation during 2024," said Tangerang City Transportation Agency Head Achmad Suhaely quoting Antara.

Meanwhile, based on data from the Tangerang City Transportation Agency, in the same period last year the number of passengers on the Tayo BRT was recorded as 480,555 passengers.

Suhaely said that the Tayo BRT has been a leading mode of transportation to support community mobility services in Tangerang City.

BRT Tayo has four active corridors that are operated to serve the community every day starting at 05.00-19.00 WIB. The four corridors include the Poris Plawad-Jatake corridor, Poris Plawad-Cibofas, Ciledug-Tangcity Mall, and Cadas- Door M1 Soekarno-Hatta International Airport.

With a capacity of 25 to 30 passengers, Bus Tayo has full air conditioner facilities, music, CCTV, and automatic doors. The number of Tayo BRTs operated every day is 40 fleets.

"We hope that the Tayo BRT service will be used more widely, especially since the payment system has been integrated with non-cash services that make it easier for passengers," he added.
