Addiction To Online Gambling, Men In Bali Steal Rp100 Million Friends From Celens, Replaced With Tisu And Canang

The Kuta Police, Bali, arrested a man named Helmi DG. Gassing (37) for stealing his friend's money with the initials SR (34) amounting to Rp. 100 million for playing online gambling.

Denpasar Police Public Relations Head AKP I Ketut Sukadi said the motive or background for the incident was because the perpetrator wanted to play online gambling.

"The perpetrator stole money to play online gambling," said AKP Sukadi, Friday, November 22.

The theft occurred on Sunday (17/11) at the victim's boarding house on Jalan Werkudara, Legian, Kuta District, Badung.

The victim lost money which was placed in a bank and photo album which was stored in a wardrobe in the form of 50 and 100 Australian dollars denominations.

The money in the bank and photo album was replaced with tissue and cantang.

"For this incident, the victim lost 50 and 100 dollars in notes with a total loss of Rp. 100 million," said AKP Sukadi.

From the report, the police immediately conducted an investigation and arrested the perpetrators.

"As a result of the interrogation, the perpetrator admitted that he had committed theft when the perpetrator was not aware that the money was taken and replaced with tissue and cangants while in the room," he said.
