Commission III Of The House Of Representatives Asks To Completely Investigate Police Shooting Case In Solok, Propam Must Be Evaluated

JAKARTA - Commission III of the DPR is concerned about the death of the Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the South Solok Police AKP Ulil Ryanti Anshari. AKP Ulil was allegedly shot by the Head of Ops of the West Sumatra Police, AKP Dadang Iskandar, from close range.

"So the very concerning incident was the death of the Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the South Solok Police, who was said to have been shot by the Head of Ops of the West Sumatra Police," said Chairman of Commission III of the DPR, Habiburokhman, Friday, November 22.

"We express our deepest condolences for the death of the Head of Criminal Investigation Unit, may the deceased have a place with Allah SWT and we strongly condemn the brutal behavior of the Head of Ops who carried out the shooting," he continued.

Habiburokhman asked that this incident be thoroughly investigated, both in the case of shooting and the death of the Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Solok Police, as well as the case behind this dispute.

"The information we got was related to the enforcement of illegal mining type C. It must be thoroughly investigated whether this perpetrator was tracking the illegal mines that were prosecuted by the Satreskrim and its staff," said the Gerindra Deputy.

Commission III of the DPR also regrets the standards set by the local Propam. According to him, Propam must also be evaluated because it is not firm when securing the perpetrators.

"We see that a person who is clearly the suspect in the shooting was not handcuffed when he was taken or when he was in the room and even seemed to be accompanied like a police official. Now this must be evaluated, his Propam should also be evaluated. He should have been handcuffed because he had taken very extreme actions," said Habiburokhman.

Therefore, Commission III of the DPR plans to make a specific visit to West Sumatra on Monday, November 25.

"If possible, we want to go to the location. I checked on Google, the distance is 100 km from the city of Padang, 2.5 hours maybe it can be taken, and then we will call the Police Chief, Kapolda and the Head of the Propam Division of the National Police Headquarters so that cases like this can really be investigated thoroughly and don't let it happen again in the future," he concluded.

Previously, the West Sumatra Police Chief Inspector General Suharyono revealed the results of a temporary investigation into the police shooting police case. AKP Ulil Ryanti Anshari, who was the victim, was said to have been shot from close range by AKP Dadang Iskandar.

"What this person did was shoot. It is suspected that he shot. It is strongly suspected that he shot from close range against the victim, who finally died," Suharyono told reporters, Friday, November 22.

It was not explained in detail how many shots were directed by AKP Dadang Iskandar to AKP Ulil Ryanti Anshari.

From the information circulating, there were 9 shots during the incident. Two of them hit the temple and cheek of AKP Ulil Ryanti Anshari.

It is only conveyed if the investigation process against AKP Dadang Iskandar, who is a suspect, is still carried out intensively so that later the actual motive will be revealed.

There are allegations that the shooting was because AKP Dadang Iskandar did not accept the action of the excavation C mine by AKP Ulil Ryanti Anshari.

"Currently we are intensively investigating what is the motive. We cannot fully inform unless later we have collected witness statements and from the alleged suspects," said Suharyono.
