KKB Stabs And Shoots 2 Ojeks To Death In Puncak Jaya Papua

PAPUA - Head of the Cartenz Peace Task Force Brigadier General Faizal Rahmadani said two motorcycle taxi drivers were shot dead by an armed criminal group (KKB) in Puncak Regency, Papua Mountains.

The incident took place on Thursday, November 21 in Weni, Mageabume District, Puncak Regency, Central Papua, at around 13:00 WIT.

"The incident began with a report by witness TT who had seen the murder," said Faizal Rahmadani in Jayapura, Antara, Friday, November 22.

Witness TT explained that at around 13.30 WIT saw KKB members led by Kalenya Murib killing two people by shooting and slashing with machetes.

Shortly after seeing this, the witness TT went straight to Sinak District and told the incident to witness P.

"At around 16.30 WIT, witness P immediately reported the information about the incident to the Sinak Police Headquarters," said Faizal.

The two dead were Imran (23) and Asrun Eko Putra (23).

Evacuation of the two victims is scheduled for Friday because road access is quite difficult to reach due to the connecting bridge between Sinak District and Mageabume District being cut off.
