NTB KPU Calls The Commotion Of Supporters Of Paslon 01 Pilgub NTB With Officers Due To Miscommunication

The General Election Commission (KPU) of West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) revealed an incident of a commotion between supporters of the NTB governor-deputy governor candidate pair number 01 with security officers from the KPU due to miscommunication.

The chairman of the NTB KPU, Muhammad Khuwailid, said the commotion occurred during the final debate of the NTB Pilkada on Wednesday, November 20 evening.

"Actually there is no commotion, no chaos, only miscommunication. Because we need a conducive atmosphere so that the messages conveyed by all pairs of candidates can be received by the entire community, all viewers," he said in Mataram, Thursday, November 21, quoted by Antara.

This incident occurred during the first session of the break to the second session of the debate. At that time, supporters of candidate pair number 01 of the NTB Pilgub made a fuss with security officers from the KPU. In fact, the chairman of the NTB KPU Muhammad Khuwailid until he broke up the commotion.

He said the incident did not last long after being able to be eliminated and each of them was able to restrain themselves.

"Don't let the commotion or screams cause the message not to reach it completely," he said.

The NTB KPU expressed its gratitude to all parties who have collaborated on the holding of three Pilkada debates for the Governor and Deputy Governor of NTB.

"We would like to thank all parties who have committed to maintaining the debate three times. We hope that the debate can be a reference in determining political choices on November 27," explained Khuwailid.

The KPU, said Khuwailid, apologized if there were three shortcomings in the process of the debate.

"We apologize if in all our processes at the KPU if anyone who is not willing, please forgive us. Of course we will never get to the point of perfection. We need synergy from all parties," he said.
