Acting Mayor Of Bogor Orders BPDD-DPKP Patrols To Donate To Face Rainy Seasons
JAKARTA - Bogor Mayor (Walkot) Hery Antasari assigned the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD), the Fire and Rescue Service (DPKP), and regional elements to carry out tree patrols as a measure to anticipate disasters.
Hery said the patrol was carried out following the lack of officers from the Housing and Settlement Service (Disperumkim) who were tasked with examining the condition of the tree.
"For the short term in disaster management measures, we will do BKO. I specifically assign it to oversee the ranks of BPBD, Damkar, as well as sub-districts and sub-districts to carry out patrols," he said in Bogor City, Thursday, November 21, which was confiscated by Antara.
If in plain view there is a dangerous tree, Hery gives discretion to officers to take direct action in the field. For example, cutting branches that are considered vulnerable, and so on.
"To help temporarily like that, and I think it is very effective. So I have directed to monitor and take direct action in the field," he said.

In addition, Hery said, handling trees can be done both on roads belonging to cities, provinces, and nationally. Because a fallen tree disaster cannot be predicted in the midst of extreme weather.
Based on data from the Bogor City BPBD, during November 2024, a total of 39 trees fell. One of them caused the victim to die, and one caused the victim to be injured.
"The status of the road is not a problem. We will continue to work on national roads, we will work on provincial roads. Because our citizens will be affected later," he said.
