There Is No Deputy Woman In The New KPK Leadership, Commission III: That's The Right Of Persons Per Person, We Don't Direct Members

JAKARTA - Commission III of the DPR has determined 5 KPK leaders for the 2024-2029 period in a plenary election meeting conducted through voting. However, from the five Capim KPK there was not a single representative from a woman.

The five new KPK leaders are Johanis Tanak, Fitroh Rohcahyanto, Agus Joko Pramono, Ibnu Basuki Widodo, and Setyo Budiyanto who were elected as chairman.

Chairman of Commission III of the DPR, Habiburokhman, said that his party also did not know the reason why not the representative woman was at the helm of the new KPK. According to him, the election of the KPK Capim is the right of every member of Commission III of the DPR who is present.

"I don't know, I can't answer on behalf of all my friends. Because you saw earlier, that's the right of each person and the results can be seen. We also can't force friends, each member conveys what the choices are. Because the process was closed, it's a secret," said Habiburokhman after a plenary meeting in the House of Representatives Commission III room, Thursday, November 21.

The Gerindra legislator for the Jakarta electoral district emphasized that the leadership of Commission III of the DPR did not direct members to choose who should be the leadership of the KPK.

"If it's a woman, that's why it's the voice of friends. I think it's back to each member. We can't direct members to choose who is a member of the KPK, nor can we direct members of Commission III to choose who will be the chairman of the KPK," said Habiburokhman.

"It may be asked to each other later, whose choice and what reason," he concluded.
