Former East Jakarta District Court Registrar Charged With Accepting Bribes Of IDR 1 Billion

East Jakarta District Court (PN) for the 2020-2022 period Rina Pertiwi was charged with accepting bribes worth a total of Rp. 1 billion related to the alleged corruption case related to the management of the PT Pertamina (Persero) land execution in 2020-2022.

The Public Prosecutor (JPU) of the Attorney General's Office, Handri Dwi Zulianto, said that Rina received bribes from the convict Ali Sopyan through intermediary Dede Rahmana to speed up the execution process based on the decision on application for reconsideration (PK) Number 795 on November 14, 2019.

"In the decision, basically punishing Pertamina for paying compensation of Rp244.6 billion," said the public prosecutor in a trial reading the indictment at the Jakarta Corruption Court, reported by ANTARA, Thursday, November 21.

However, the Public Prosecutor explained that of the total bribes given, Rina allegedly only received Rp797.5 million, while the remaining Rp202.5 million was given by Rina to Dede.

Meanwhile, Dede is said to have given the money in stages twice, amounting to Rp747.6 million in cash and Rp50 million in transfer to Rina.

The prosecutor revealed that the case began around 2014, when the heirs of A. Soepandi, namely O.O. bint Medi Soelihin, A. Soelihah, A. Soepiah, R. Aliasoehihah, and Ali Sopyan, filed a civil lawsuit in the form of compensation to Pertamina at the East Jakarta District Court on land located on Jalan Pemuda, Rawamangun, East Jakarta, which has been controlled by Pertamina.

Regarding the lawsuit filed, the East Jakarta District Court has decided until the PK decision by the Supreme Court (MA) and has obtained permanent legal force, which basically punishes Pertamina for paying compensation of Rp244.6 billion.

Then around November 2019, Ali contacted Johannes Jamburmias to ask for help in resolving the land problem, namely compensation that had not been paid by Pertamina, according to the court's decision.

Furthermore, at Ali's request, Johannes contacted Sareh Wiyono to convey the matter, including discussing the distribution of his rights if he succeeded in helping Ali, which would get a 50 percent share of the rights obtained by Ali regarding land compensation.

Sareh then contacted Rina to help with the execution of the PK decision and Rina agreed. Ali also asked the heirs of A. Soepandi to make a power of attorney to Ali to process the execution of the PK decision at the East Jakarta District Court.

After the power of attorney was received, Ali entered a letter requesting the execution of February 24, 2020 through the One Stop Integrated Service (PTSP) of the East Jakarta District Court and met with Rina at PTSP.

The letter of application for execution was forwarded to the table of the Chairman of the East Jakarta District Court after being submitted to PTSP to get a disposition regarding the implementation of his civil execution. The letter was finally positioned to Rina as the Registrar of the East Jakarta District Court.

"Regarding the application for execution submitted by Ali as the proxy for the transfer of inheritance, Rina as the Registrar of the East Jakarta District Court made a resummation," said the prosecutor.
