Vice President Gibran Review Free Nutrition At SMKN 3 Tangerang

TANGERANG - Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka monitors free nutritious eating activities (MBG) in vocational high schools (SMK) 3 Tangerang City which will be a national scale pilot.

Accompanied by the Acting Governor of Banten Al Muktabar and the Acting Mayor of Tangerang Nurdin, the presence of the Vice President was warmly welcomed by the enthusiasm of students, teachers, and school management.

Vice President Gibran said the MBG program was not just a free food supply, but a strategic step to create a healthier and more productive generation.

He emphasized the importance of synergy and involvement of various parties, including vocational schools such as SMKN 3 Tangerang, in supporting President Prabowo's national program.

The Vice President expressed his appreciation to SMKN 3 Tangerang for its contribution in preparing and presenting 864 packages of nutritious menus consisting of rice, chicken teriyaki, plant beans, meatball, banana, and milk.

"The model of involving vocational education in this kind of government program not only encourages the improvement of the health of students, but also the capacity of learning for students," said Gibran as quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, November 21.

Muhammad Azhar Malik, a student in the 11th grade of Culinary 2 said the provision of MBG from his school enriched the students' direct practice, especially the experience of preparing large amounts of healthy food, as well as packing and serving it hygienely.

"Of course there is a lot of experience to be gained, let alone prepare food in a lot like this," said Azhar Malik.

Through multi-party collaboration like this, the Vice President hopes that the MBG program can be a concrete step towards achieving the vision of Indonesia Gold 2045, namely a healthy and highly competitive nation.
