Salah Santet, Indonesian and Malaysian Collaborative Film Combines Comedy Drama with Mystical Touch
JAKARTA - Production House Brightstar Picture Enam Delapan and Ayra Global Enam Delapan from Malaysia in collaboration with JSF Studio and SEEV Entertainment from Indonesia collaborated to produce a Drama Comedy genre film with a mystical touch entitled Salah Santet directed by Jay Sukmo.
This film tells the story of three village youths with a black magic book from the late best-selling shaman, determined to curse an official in the village because he tried to evict his village for the official's dirty ambition, but problems arise when they make the wrong black magic potion which causes many victims.
The story of this film is wrapped in a touch of Indonesian and Malaysian culture, in addition to taking the location setting in Indonesia, the plan is for some to take the location setting in Sarawak Malaysia. The process of writing the scenario itself is still in the research and development stage, the plan is for the production process to be carried out in mid-2025.
Met at the SEEV Entertainment office in the Kemang area of South Jakarta, Producers Husnie Ramdan and Pilip Tenonet said that the comedy genre with a mystical or horror twist is still a favorite spectacle for film lovers, especially in Indonesia.

The film Salah Santet plans to feature actors from stand up comedy and several artists from Malaysia.
"We are confident that this film can attract the interest of Indonesian and Malaysian audiences, because culturally it is still the same," explained executive producer Ika Sabreena and Producers Yassin Ismail and Firdaus from Malaysia.
"We are also proud to be able to establish a strategic partnership with JSF Studio and SEEV Entertainment in order to establish a Production House in the global ranking. Like a bond of brotherhood, this partnership absorbs aspirations from both parties to be able to participate in enlivening the Nusantara film industry," they explained again.
